Professionals, hobbyists, newbies and those who dont even own a camera - all are welcome regardless of skill, favourite. when i feel like getting back on the horse, i will try it on the desktop PC instead of my handy laptop. 2018 : Digital Photography Forums is the website for photographers and all who love great photos, camera and post processing techniques, gear talk, discussion and sharing. i ended up going back into X2 but the text quality was fuzzy, even when using the same (i thought) settings. this happened 3 or 4 times having to force close each time.

last night i was using it to add border and text which was successful on one photo, then on the second photo the software would freeze (white screen) whenever i clicked the border to add text. I just upgraded to X3 last week (after upgrading to the 450D) and have only used it briefly a few times. i get frustrated easily when learning is too slow.
i have been trying to teach myself but am not picking it up very quickly and have found few reliable resources for help. įirst let me preface that i am by far no expert with PSP X2, i've only been using it for a year or so for light jpeg editing (for my P&S), no raw.

I sure hope Corel fixes this in the first patch as well, it's seriously debilitating. Means I can't just convert in DPP, load into PSPX3 and retain exif anymore. Still, the RAW capabilities will be useful for HDR, something that was crippled in X2 ultimate.Įxif data is not read properly from TIF or JPG files. They ended up severely overexposed, with no means of recovering the lost details. It was then that I noticed the highlights issue, which was particularly bad in pictures where I used flash. I was almost tempted to use PSP for conversions, the results really look good at first glance. On the bright side, it can read my camera's white balance settings. RAW conversion, although much better than its predecessors is still terrible, mainly referring to the highlights being blown out as a standard, where DPP will still show plenty of detail. And no, the option in the panels menu just beeps when I try to click it. A silly translation error I can live with (and will probably be fixed in the first patch), but I also managed to lose my layers panel with almost no means of recovery (thankfully I got it back using the 'show all panels' hotkey I found somewhere).

Did it because I have a new pc and didn't want to install an old version first only to upgrade a few weeks later.
